Frequently asked questions
How are months and years counted?
By the calendar. From 31 January to 28 February is 0 months and 28 days, because a full month from 31 January would end on the last day of February.
Are leap years handled?
Yes. The calculation uses the real calendar, including 29 February in leap years.
Does the time zone matter?
No. Only calendar dates are compared, so the result is the same everywhere.
