When it is 9:00 in New York

Daylight saving time shifts the gaps during the year. These are the local times on 15 January and 15 July 2026:

City January July
Los Angeles 06:00 06:00
New York 09:00 09:00
London 14:00 14:00
Paris, Berlin 15:00 15:00
Dubai 18:00 17:00
India 19:30 18:30
Beijing, Singapore 22:00 21:00
Tokyo 23:00 22:00
Sydney 01:00 next day 23:00

Dubai, India, China, Singapore and Japan do not use daylight saving time, so their gap to New York is one hour smaller in the northern summer. Sydney moves the other way, because its summer is in January.

Finding a meeting time

New York and London: 9:00–12:00 in New York is 14:00–17:00 in London — the easiest overlap across the Atlantic.

Europe and China: 9:00 in Paris is 16:00 in Beijing in winter and 15:00 in summer, leaving about two hours of shared office time.

US West Coast and Asia: 17:00 in Los Angeles is 9:00 the next morning in Tokyo in summer and 10:00 in winter.

Add the cities you work with and the list shows each one’s time and whether it is day or night there, so you can spot a slot at a glance.

Frequently asked questions

Does it handle daylight saving time?

Yes. Times use the time-zone rules built into your browser, so daylight saving changes are applied automatically for each city.

Why is a city missing from the search?

Search covers the IANA time zones, which are named after one major city per zone. Search for a big city in the same zone — for example “Los Angeles” for San Francisco.

Is the time accurate?

It follows your device’s clock. If your device clock is wrong, all cities will be off by the same amount.
