Fastest and slowest
With three or more laps, the fastest lap is highlighted in the accent colour and the slowest in amber.

A lap example

Each press of Lap records the total time at that moment. The Lap time column is the difference from the previous press. If you press Lap at 00:31.42, 01:02.18, 01:35.90 and 02:05.04, the table shows:

Lap Lap time Total Marked
1 00:31.42 00:31.42
2 00:30.76 01:02.18
3 00:33.72 01:35.90 slowest
4 00:29.14 02:05.04 fastest

The table lists the newest lap first. Fastest and slowest are chosen by lap time, not by total, and nothing is marked until there are at least three laps. If two laps tie, the earlier one is marked.

The display shows minutes, seconds and hundredths as MM:SS.cc, and adds an hours part once you pass one hour, as in 1:02:05.43. Hundredths are cut off, not rounded, so 59.999 seconds shows as 00:59.99.

Copy laps puts one line per lap on the clipboard, with the lap number, lap time and total separated by tab characters and no header line. That pastes into separate columns in Excel or Google Sheets. Lap is available only while the stopwatch is running, and Reset clears the laps along with the time.

Frequently asked questions

How accurate is it?

It uses your device's high-resolution clock and displays hundredths of a second. The limit in practice is how quickly you press the button.

Does it keep running in the background?

Yes. Elapsed time is calculated from the start time, so switching tabs does not slow it down.

Are laps saved?

No. Laps stay only while the page is open; use Copy laps to keep them.
