Frequently asked questions
Is daylight saving time taken into account?
Yes. The conversion uses your browser's time zone database, which includes daylight saving rules and historical changes for each zone.
Why is a city not in the list?
Time zones are named after one major city. Search for the main city in the same zone, for example Los Angeles for San Francisco or Shanghai for Beijing.
What is the difference between UTC and GMT?
For everyday use they show the same time. UTC is the time standard; GMT is the time zone of the United Kingdom in winter. London switches to BST (UTC+1) in summer.
