How to use
- Choose a video.

- You get the video without sound, in the same format for MP4, MOV, WebM and MKV.
Options explained
- How it works
- Only the audio track is removed; the video data is copied without re-encoding, so it is lossless and fast.
Output format and file name
The output keeps the container of the file you choose, judged by its extension, and the file name gets -muted added before the extension.
| Your file | Downloaded file |
|---|---|
| holiday.mp4 | holiday-muted.mp4 |
| clip.mov or clip.qt | clip-muted.mov |
| screen.webm | screen-muted.webm |
| movie.mkv | movie-muted.mkv |
| any other extension | name-muted.mp4 |
The video track is copied as it is, so the codec is never changed. If the codec cannot be placed in the output container, you see a message naming the codec instead of a re-encoded video. For example, WebM holds only VP8, VP9 and AV1, and MP4 holds H.264, H.265, AV1 and VP9.
If the video has no audio track to begin with, the page tells you “This video has no sound track.”
Frequently asked questions
Can it remove only the music and keep voices?
No. It removes the whole audio track. Separating voices from music needs an AI model.
Is my video uploaded?
No. Everything happens in your browser.
What format is the output?
MP4, MOV, WebM and MKV keep their format — MP4 stays MP4, MOV stays MOV. Other files are saved as MP4.
