Frequently asked questions

Will the file get smaller?

Usually yes. The remaining pages are copied into a new PDF, so images and fonts used only by the deleted pages are left out.

Can I delete pages from a password-protected PDF?

Only after removing the password. Open it with the password in a PDF reader and save a copy without protection first.

Are bookmarks kept?

The bookmark list is not carried over when pages are deleted, because it may point at pages that no longer exist. Text, images, links to websites and page contents are unchanged.

Are my files uploaded?

No. The pages are removed by pdf-lib running in your browser.
