- Author, Subject, Keywords
- Descriptive properties shown in the document properties dialog of PDF readers.
- Creator and Producer

Examples
Before publishing a report. Set the title to the report name so browser tabs and search results show it instead of “Microsoft Word - final_v3.docx”.
Before sending a CV. Remove all metadata so the file does not reveal the author account name or the software used.
Frequently asked questions
What is XMP metadata and why is it removed?
Many PDFs store their properties twice — in the classic document info and in an XMP block. Some readers prefer XMP, so edits would appear not to work if the old XMP stayed. The tool removes it so every reader shows your values.
Does this remove all hidden information?
It removes the document properties. Other data such as comments, form contents, attachments or text hidden under images is part of the pages and is not changed.
Does the content change?
No. Pages, text and images are untouched; only the properties are rewritten.
Are my files uploaded?
No. The file is read and rewritten by pdf-lib in your browser.
