Image Splitter

Split one picture into a grid of smaller images. Make a 3×3 grid for a social profile, turn a panorama into carousel slides, or cut an image into any number of rows and columns.

Runs in your browser — nothing you enter is uploaded

or drop a file here

You can also paste an image with Ctrl+V / ⌘V

How to use

  1. Choose an image, drop it here or paste it.
  2. Pick a preset or set the rows and columns.
  3. Tick Crop to square first for square tiles from a non-square photo.
  4. Click a tile to download it alone, or download all tiles as a ZIP.

Options explained

Rows and columns
The image is divided exactly, with no gaps or overlaps. When the size does not divide evenly, some tiles are one pixel larger.
Crop to square first
Cuts the largest centred square from the image before splitting, so a 3×3 grid gives nine equal squares.

Examples

Instagram grid. 3 × 3 with Crop to square first — post tile 9 first.

Panorama carousel. 1 × 3 to swipe through a wide landscape in three slides.

Frequently asked questions

In what order should I post the tiles?

Files are numbered left to right, top to bottom. Profile grids show the newest post first, so post them in reverse — tile 9 first and tile 1 last.

Is quality reduced?

Tiles are copied pixel for pixel. Choose PNG for a lossless result, or JPG or WebP for smaller files.

Are my images uploaded?

No. Splitting runs in your browser.
